SEN teaching assistants

Our highly specialised SEN Teaching Assistants division has long been focused on raising the bar of achievement and support across mainstream, attached inclusion or off-site settings. From secure units for young offenders to hospital tuition services and everywhere in between, we have skilled Teaching Assistants with experience in all aspects of SEN. Whether the requirement is to support children with emotional behavioural difficulties or those with profound and multiple learning difficulties, our SEN division provides highly talented candidates to work within this specialised area.

A reported 17.2% of all school-aged children have a recognised Special Educational Need. For these individuals, numerous barriers can stand in the way of them getting the right education and support. At Celsian Education, we continue to be fully committed to ensuring that our SEN Teaching Assistants are up to date with the latest thinking and training within this sector, meaning our CPD provision is second to none. We’ve even invested in our own full-time Team Teach Instructor for our supply staff.

We’ve long been respected as a leader in the supply of teaching and support staff into the SEN sector and as such we work strategically with LEAs and school units across the UK. Our understanding, experience and quality of service in this sector is unrivalled.

The division is led by a dedicated Head of SEN who has direct responsibility for ensuring that our local branch-based SEN consultants have the required knowledge, experience, training and passion to make sure we get it right first time every time for our candidates, classrooms and - most importantly - the pupils.
